1992 a/d/s/(R) AUDIO SYSTEM - SUBWOOFER LEVEL CONTROL

The subwoofer level control for the 1992 a/d/s/(R) system is retained in the auxiliary switch panel with plastic tangs. In cases where the tangs fail to secure the control, install a spring steel retention clip following the instructions in this Service Bulletin. This modification should only be performed in cases where the tangs will no longer retain the control.

WORK PROCEDURE

^ Remove the level control unit from the recess in the auxiliary switch panel and unplug it from the audio harness.

^ Remove the phillips head screw on the left side of the level control (as viewed from the front of the control) - see Illustration.

^ Sandwich the new retention clip between the plastic housing and metal switch bridge and replace the screw. Make sure that the tab on the retention clip faces outward.

^ Install the wiring connector and refit the control into the auxiliary switch panel making sure that the retention clip locks the control in place.
